I’ll admit I took three or four days to finish my three-episode watch of Jupiter’s Legacy. This was partially due to scheduling issues, but also because this is one of the most uneven, disjointed, awkward superhero series I’ve ever had the displeasure of slogging through.

Cards on the table, I went into this show to see what a layman might get out of a DOTA series. I don’t know the games or the lore. I had almost no idea what DOTA: Dragon’s Blood would be like.

I want to be kinder to The Irregulars. The premise of the show is so cool, the ideas off the wall, but the execution is always the crux—and it’s just not there. I appreciate the colorblind casting and the attempts to be unique in its subject matter. That’s refreshing. I just wish the surrounding show was better.
