Count Spatula’s vampiric utensils burst into the room.
“Count, count,” one of them cries, “the Editor and his Contributors have made it past our defenses!”
“How is this possible?! Bleh?!” exclaims Spatula.
“BLEH! HOW?! HOW DID THEY GET THEM?!”
“There is no time, sir! Ve must leave!”
“But, the Day of Blood! Ve didn’t even published all of the articles yet! And vhat of the Fictionmonger? Vhat of my dream?!”
…ve vill return.”
The count looks upon the bound and gagged Fictionmonger. His eyes are cold and calculating. He approaches, leaning in, and whispers, “Remember that, monger: ve vill return.”
They escape, barely. As they depart, the Editor and Contributors burst into the room with oven mitts. The Fictionmonger is quickly untied. Victory cheers sound off and everyone (who can legally drink them) has margaritas! Hooray!
After the party ends, the Editor has a talk with the Fictionmonger.
“So, we have a bunch of Bitten and Being Human reviews left here?” he asks, to which the monger replies, “Yeah, that’s the gist of it.”
“Well, we might as well run them as regular reviews on the site, right? And hey, looks at all these art submissions. Couldn’t we throw them up on the front page at some point?”
“We could certainly talk to the Boss about that.”
“All right, cool, cool. And hey, what’s this? Hey, hey wait a second, this is mine!”
“Yeah, they were going to run an unfinished story of mine!”
“Well, that’s bananas!”
“Well, the fans were promised a story at some point. Don’t you think they should get one?”
…if I had more time, maybe?”
“Could you get it done by tomorrow?”
“I’ll see. Yeah, why not? But what would you call it?”
“That sounds terrible.”
“Okay, well how about…?”
This mark’s the end of Sci-Fi Bloggers’ Veek of Blood! Starting tomorrow (solidifying on Tuesday) we’ll be returning to our usual sci-fi and fantasy articles. To all of our new vampire and werewolf fans, don’t be alarmed. We’ll still have a good amount of supernatural pieces on her as well. Thanks for being a part of this event everyone! We had a lot of fun doing it!
