Star Trek Meme Contest!

Congratulations again to the winners of our last contest and thanks again to all who voted!

Our next contest is a Meme Contest! This contest type was also chosen by the Sci-Fi Bloggers community. Thanks again to all who voted to help pick these contest themes.

For any who don’t know, a meme looks like this:

To make one, you’ll need a meme generator. Don’t worry, it’s easier than it sounds. You just upload your photo to the generator and type in your text. You can then download the completed image. You can just google “meme generator” to find one but here are a few free ones:

MemeGenerator.net

ImgFlip

Memes.com

Once you’ve created your meme, just upload it as a comment to the contest post on our Facebook Page here.

We’ve also picked out some photos to get you started but you’re always free to pick your own.

The contest will run until midnight, July 4, 2016 and the winners will be announced the following week.

As with the last contest, we’ll have three winners. Check out the great prizes below!

Take a look  at this Borg Sphere (from Star Trek: First Contact)…

…or, this lovely USS Centaur (from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)…

…or even this retrofitted USS Enterprise (from Star Trek: The Next Generation), an Eaglemoss subscriber exclusive! This RARE COLLECTIBLE is a scale replica of the Enterprise Riker pilots in the Next Generation series finale!

We can’t wait to see your submissions! If you have a great idea for a meme, go to our Facebook page (here), find the contest post and make it so! And be sure to check out our full submission guidelines and contest rules here!

Stories are important. Stories feed the mind and inspire the heart. They lift the spirit and challenge the imagination. They have the ability to predict what the future will be, and have the power to reveal the past in a light unseen before. Stories take people to worlds they thought never existed, worlds they thought couldn't exist. But they can, and they do. Stories make them a reality. Stories make them into truth. Don’t underestimate them (don’t tell me you haven’t before, we all have, even me). They are, collectively, the gateway to utopias, dystopias, kingdoms, planets and universes unlike anything on Earth—or, in some cases, all too much like Earth. Stories can wake people up from their brainwashed states and get them active in the world, doing things they wouldn't have had they not heard or read or seen them. Stories can save lives. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE STORIES, AND DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE YOUR ABILITY TO CREATE THEM.
