Possibly, this is the furthest in the future we’ve ever done for a Friday Fiction. The technology in “The Many Spaceships Of The Biggest City” seems possible, eventually, but it could be hundreds, if not thousands, of years before it would be on this level.
But, unlike the setting, the plot is simple. Our young woman narrator wants to make a nice dinner for her girlfriend before she gets home from work.
But the recipe needs some eggs—and those eggs are on another planet.
Fortunately, that’s not as big a problem as you might think. But the journey will be some fun.
