We’ve been leading up to this one. First, a tale of bats. Then an evil pumpkin. Then strange holiday magic. And now for the big one. The biggest one. The one Brandon Scott and I have been planning for a while.
Depending on how cheesy you like your movies, Fear Street: Prom Queen is only good in one aspect. If you, however, enjoy momentous cheese, then please, by all means, ignore this article, and perhaps bring a stack of crackers with you.
Thunderbolts* (or, The New Avengers) is what you remember Marvel movies and shows being, back when it was a pretty sure thing that any given movie was going to be good, if not excellent. Somehow, the rhythms and plot progression that have now become standard work here. The comedy is funny. The action scenes are cool. The collection of very barebones characters doesn’t make the story flat or uninteresting.
No one likes it when a holiday is rained out. Especially a holiday like Halloween, when lots of the usual plans involve going outdoors.
But what if…what if a ruined Halloween could be…fixed?
In a world of jaded critics & fans, and collapsing franchises, this one actually delivers.

Wow, am I glad that I decided to review all the episodes of Marvel Zombies. Because if I had dropped out when the show fell in quality, I would’ve missed the pure spectacle that is the final part of this story. I would’ve missed where, apparently, a lot of the animation efforts went.
Marvel Zombies fell so far with this third episode. Every bad habit of the series, it seems, rushed out to the forefront, and the main thing to enjoy ends up being the gore. Not the animation—that’s often awful, full of plastic faces and stiff action scenes. The creative gore specifically makes this episode watchable.
Despite the title, I must warn you. This tale is not as whimsical as it sounds.
It’s downright creepy.
The second part of Marvel Zombies impressed me because of how weird it is, even compared to the first episode. The series really has become the bloody, gory toy box I talked about before, where Marvel characters are put in totally new frameworks.
The final part of our Marvel’s Spider-Man list is quite varied in what the cards do. The only thing—besides the obvious—tying the whole thing together is that they all feel like core pieces in different combo/synergy decks. Some may even see crossover uses.
