Best RPG Games of 2009

Best RPG Games of 2009 – list of my best RPGs: Dragon Age: Origins, Risen, Divinity II: Ego Draconis. 2010 hot RPG games candidates.

Dragon Age: Origins

Buy Dragon Age

Inspired by a realistic modern fantasy, Bioware’s Dragon Age uses an evolved 3D tactical real-time combat system in a deep role-playing game with large-scale creature combat. Dragon Age uses the same branching conversation system as Bioware’s Mass Effect and offers multiple different “origin stories,” resulting in a unique game depending on which character archetype you choose.

Dragon Age: Origins Platforms: PC, PS3, Xbox 360

Dragon Age: Origins Release date: November 3, 2009

From BioWare, the makers of Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Baldur’s Gate comes Dragon Age: Origins. An epic tale of violence, lust, and betrayal, Dragon Age: Origins is a single player role-playing game (RPG) set in a fantasy game environment, and featuring three playable character classes, accessible in the form of three races. In addition, the game features extreme character customization, a new game engine, party-based gameplay utilizing non-player characters and a built-in personal history system for each hero character rooted in a variety of possible origin stories.

Why i like Dragon Age: Origins: if you liked Baldurs Gate or NWN2, Dragon Age is logicaly your choice. Dragon Age Origins is hardcore RPG for all genre lovers. I forgot to eat, drink and everything else because i play DOO. So many demons to kill….

Divinity II: Ego Draconis

Buy Divinity II: Ego Draconis

Divinity II: Ego Draconis Platforms: PC, Xbox 360

Divinity II: Ego Draconis Release Date: November 20 2009 (Europe), January 5, 2010 (USA)

Why i likeDivinity II: You can be a dragon in this RPG!

Divinity 2: Ego Draconis takes place in Rivellon, a magical and timeless world populated by humans and fantastic creatures. Once beautiful, Rivellon is now shattered by the apocalyptic wars of the past. The war seemed to be over, but the peace was deceptive.
Players begin as a Dragon Slayer, hunters who travel the countryside, determined to rid their lands of dragons.

Risen

Buy Risen

Risen is a perfect fantasy role playing game by the German company Piranha Bytes, and published by Deep Silver.

Risen Platforms: PC, Xbox 360

Risen release date: October 2, 2009

I am sure you will love this Gothic like RPG game.

Why i like Risen: total freedom, huge world, tons of quests, real combat system…

Risen was refused classification in Australia because foul language, sexual activity and drug use:) This is the best review for the game:) True…f*ck is the most common word in this game.

  • I am looking for a 3D social MMO game, much like Second Life or Onverse, but that is completely free. None that involve buying any kind of currency in the game. Also, I would like the ability to build house like most other 3D social MMO games. If you could provide a link to the sites, if any, I would be greatly appreciative.

    • I hope you know its very generous of you to give away these for RPG games, I like them but can't use them for my RPG games just yet. Keep up the good work.

  • Definitely Dragon Age. I really love this rpg, it is like old Baldurs Gate or NeverWinter but with a modern face.
