The Best Aetherdrift Cards (2 of 5)

Aetherdrift Keeps Up The Pace With These 5 Cards
This is part 2 of a list of the best 25 cards in the latest Magic: The Gathering set, Aetherdrift. The articles are meant to be read in order, so start with the first one if you want the full list. Cards are presented in WUBRG order and alphabetically within each color.
Hope you’re having fun playing the set!
Memory Guardian

I mentioned in the previous Aetherdrift article that affinity is a busted ability. Well, this is a decently stated flier that can be played for one mana. I think that’s enough reason to put it on this list.
Unstoppable Plan

I would like this card a lot even if it didn’t also combo really well with vehicles. Vigilance is a good ability. Multiple uses of tap abilities are pretty powerful. There are lots of unrelated artifacts that like this ability. It’s basically just a good card that you can justify playing in a lot of decks.
Ancient Vendetta

Four mana and whatever card you don’t like is gone from the game. This Aetherdrift card can ruin combo players, weaken aggro decks, and rob some control decks of even having a win-con. I can imagine some people will just concede if this resolves.
Chitin Gravestalker

I think of this card as having delve. It’s not quite that powerful, but in the kinds of decks that would play this, it’s not that far off. You can easily get Gravestalker out quite early, and—if for some reason you can’t—the cards got a nice bonus of cycling.
Demonic Junker

Hey, look, more affinity. But this vehicle is also a removal spell that can turn into a decently sized creature for very little crew cost. This might be the third-best vehicle for Standard in the whole Aetherdrift set. The other ones you’ll have to wait a few more articles to hear about.
Five more cards coming soon! Check back on Wednesday!
