The final part of our Marvel’s Spider-Man list is quite varied in what the cards do. The only thing—besides the obvious—tying the whole thing together is that they all feel like core pieces in different combo/synergy decks. Some may even see crossover uses.
We’re back at it! After a small break to start getting into some spooky media, we’ve got two more lists of Marvel’s Spider-Man cards to get through. This time, we’re getting into the multicolor cards—and there are some weird, but fun, options here.
I promised you powerhouses, and with these five cards from Marvel’s Spider-Man, you’ll be getting them. The final one on this list is by far my favorite, and I expect to build a deck around it basically as soon as I can.
Back again, back again, to Marvel’s Spider-Man. And this time, we have our first (and only) flip card out of the whole set. Because of my rules about WUBRG order and alphabetical order, this chunk of five is a little chaotic, but there are some excellent—and I assume generally undervalued—cards mixed in.
Considering how often we review Marvel movies/shows and new Magic: The Gathering sets here at Sci-Fi Bloggers, it feels extremely fitting to go over the upcoming (like, coming out this month) Marvel’s Spider-Man cards. They are even—somehow—Standard legal, so anyone playing that format on Arena is going to run into these options.
Tezzeret’s abilities are mostly just handy, yes, but you need to remember that it’s also a three-mana planeswalker that can go in any deck that cares about artifacts. And Edge of Eternities cards often care about artifacts.
Loading Zone is one of my favorite Warp cards. Pay one mana, then go off stationing Spacecrafts, making your lands better, or just make a big monster. If you have extra mana later—and haven’t won the game yet—then you can further press your advantage.
It takes a decent amount of setup for really powerful turns, but I read Bioengineered Future as “each creature you control enters with a +1/+1 counter” (or however the language has to be for the rules to work). And that’s pretty dang potent for three mana.
Edge of Eternities has an enchantment like this in every color, but Pain for All is the only one I think is good enough for standard.
It’s not the best “exile everything” spell that Standard has seen, but Beyond the Quiet will become a staple of any WU control deck, and will be multiple copies in that deck.
