The wait is shrinking folks and Marvel is giving us another super exciting sneak at the upcoming Captain America: Civil War.
It’s more intense than previous teases. Now we see the actual destruction that comes with saving the human race. The first time The Avengers met up in New York caused $18.8 billion in damages and 74 casualties. The Fall of SHIELD in Winter Soldier chalked up $2.8 billion and 23 casualties. Then of course the Age of Ultron fiasco in Sokovia cost an incredible $474 billion and resulted in 177 deaths. Ouch. At the same time, though, these are the costs of saving the human race.
It seems that Bucky is still causing trouble and more people are getting involved in Cap and Tony’s scuffle. We get to see more of Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther. Clearly the Scarlet Witch and the Vision aren’t getting along as well as they are in the comics, Ant-Man is literally riding on Hawkeye’s arrows and Crossbones is kicking some Cap butt. It’s a whole lot of awesome while simultaneously heartbreaking. It’s going to be a wild ride folks.
Of course the biggest news is that Spiderman is in the MCU! After exhausting his options, it seems as though Tony is letting the little guy, affectionately referred to as “Underoos,” take a stab at hanging with the big kids. It’s actually kind of hilarious that beneath the classic suit a little voice peeps out to say hey. It’s actor Tom Holland’s first “appearance” as the web slinger before he appears in his own film due out July 7th, 2017.
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters in 3S and IMAX on May 6th. You can see all your favorite faces alongside some exciting new ones. So which one is it? Are you Team Cap? Or Team Iron Man?
