Dragon Age: Inquisition Releases Final DLC

0

By Carly Fjeld on September 12th, 2015

Sure, Dragon Age: Inquisition was released almost a year ago, but I haven’t put it down. The story is too good and the adventure just too epic. Just when I thought I might be on my last playthrough for awhile, I saw the incredible new trailer for the final DLC, Trespasser.

Solas?! Say it ain’t so!

It seems like citizens of the world no longer appreciate the Inquisitor’s hard work and now everything has gone to the Void once more. Trespasser takes place two years after the finale and players will continue their role as Inquisitor. There is a Quinari threat lurking over all of Thedas and it is up to you and your crew to get things back in order and remind everyone who’s boss.

The downloadable content was released on September 8th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One for $14.99.

The idea that I get to rejoin my crew and check in with them after taking down Corypheus is enough for me to shell out some dough, but I also get an epilogue to a story I genuinely already loved. I don’t think Trespasser will taint my ending, but add to it. I’m excited to have the chance to jump in and experience new content as well as decide the final fates of my compatriots.

However, it is bittersweet because this is the final single-player DLC. It is the fifth expansion available behind Jaws of Hakkon, Dragonslayer, Spoils of the Avvar and The Descent. Released in November of last year, Dragon Age: Inquisition was the third major installment of the Dragon Age franchise, which began in 2009. At PAX Prime this year, creative director for Dragon Age, Mike Laidlaw teased that the new content will also reveal small pieces of what’s to come for the franchise.

You’ll have to excuse me, it seems I have some Quinari ass to kick.
