Oscar Isaac from Star Wars (Po) stars as Apocalypse along with Michael Fassbender (Assassins Creed), Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones), and our other favorites. Well, the reviews are not rave but from those in our circles (pop-culture, sci-fi, fantasty) they’re pretty decent, including mentions that it gives good fan service but lacks the depth we’d expect. We’ve posted & linked to a few reviews below as well as trailers. Here’s a quick summary so you don’t have to read all of them.

According to IGN: “As a conclusion to a trilogy, Apocalypse falls somewhat short. It marginalises key relationships in favour of establishing new ones, and lacks the depth and distinctive historical flavour of its immediate predecessors. But taken as the next chapter in the series, Apocalypse is an undeniably fun and entertaining adventure and does a pretty good job of establishing Xavier’s next class.” – read the full review here.
