WEEK OF CHAOS: “Garbage Man”

(NOTE BEFORE READING: Use the links. They’re your friends.)

We begin our Week of Chaos (READ THIS) with a piece that requires little introduction. Among our oldest Friday Fiction pieces, “Garbage Man” was requested by the Editor-in-Chief of Sci-Fi Bloggers to be prepared and ready for the upcoming segment in one night. And so it was that Brandon Scott became a part of the team. His tale, while grim, illustrates both his style and mood in a short but satisfying sequence.

Ladies and gentlemen, without further delay, we present to you “Garbage Man”! CLICK HERE to read!

Remember, folks, this isn’t the end! Check in every day for your next dose of excitement, adventure, and intrigue! My friends, let the Week of Chaos continue!

Remember to sign up for our mailing list on the right side of the front page! You never know what special treats you’ll find in there. Also, be sure to check out Brandon Scott’s website by clicking HERE!

Stories are important. Stories feed the mind and inspire the heart. They lift the spirit and challenge the imagination. They have the ability to predict what the future will be, and have the power to reveal the past in a light unseen before. Stories take people to worlds they thought never existed, worlds they thought couldn't exist. But they can, and they do. Stories make them a reality. Stories make them into truth. Don’t underestimate them (don’t tell me you haven’t before, we all have, even me). They are, collectively, the gateway to utopias, dystopias, kingdoms, planets and universes unlike anything on Earth—or, in some cases, all too much like Earth. Stories can wake people up from their brainwashed states and get them active in the world, doing things they wouldn't have had they not heard or read or seen them. Stories can save lives. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE STORIES, AND DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE YOUR ABILITY TO CREATE THEM.
