TRAILERPALOOZA: B v S, Star Wars, F4 and Ant-Man?! WHAT?! HOW?!
It’s been a great week for trailers, and we’ve got them all right here!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Whoa, right?! The second teaser premiered at the Star Wars Celebration event and immediately became the most talked about item of the week. Fans got more action, masks, characters and John Boyega panting and taking off his helmet. Oh yeah, and Han and Chewie showed up! Chewie looking less haggard than Han. Is it December yet?
Ant-Man
This is great. The teaser still delivers a lot of action, we finally get to see the wonderful Corey Stoll as Yellowjacket and I’m happy to see the film offering up a lot of laughs. People may not have high hopes for Ant-Man, but I think it’s going to be a blast to watch in theaters. I mean, did you see that Thomas the Train bit? Coming out July 17th.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Ah, some fresh footage! We finally get to see what Zack Snyder has been up to, and it looks pretty good. I like the beginning and seeing the world questioning the Man of Steel, but it sort of feels one-sided. Perhaps the next look we get of the film will feature more Batman and less just Ben Affleck pouting. The trailer was released early after initially being leaked online. You can watch the film in theaters beginning March 25, 2016.
Fantastic Four
We get another origin story, but the cast appeals to me a lot more. Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell already seem to have better chemistry in these two minutes than the previous cast did throughout two films. It’s different that I expected, but that’s not a bad thing. It will be interesting to see Chronicle director Josh Trank’s twist on this fearsome foursome. Reg E. Cathey should narrate everything, right? Sidenote: DOOOOOOOM!!!
