The Big Bang Theory – Why Did You Get Bongo’s?

0

By azzib287 on July 14th, 2013

Can you guess what episode the title is talking about? Ah yes! The fun, wacky and just plain geeky adventures of Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) Raj Koothrappali  (Kunal Nayyar) and not forgetting the less geeky and possibly most cleverest of the bunch in her own way Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and co.

The general principle of the stories in the TV series that’s now on its 6th season and probably many more to come in the future I’m sure, revolves round 4 physicists/scientists nerds, who are simply clueless about anything outside of their respective fields, though depicted as geniuses, their knowledge appears to be limited when it comes to more primitive or less intelligent topics, such as what Sheldon likes to call baser urges or his understanding of sarcasm.

Here’s the characters in a nutshell from the ever perspective Sheldon Cooper.  Scene: The stairwell. Leonard is carrying a large box.

Leonard: Why do I always have to carry the heavy stuff?

Sheldon: Well, it’s very simple. In our ragtag band of scientists with nothing to lose, I’m the smart one, Wolowitz is the funny one, and Koothrappali is the lovable foreigner who struggles to understand our ways and fails. That leaves you, by default, as the muscle.

The episode the title is pointing to is the Werewolf Transformation Season 5 Episode 18 where Sheldon misses an appointment with the barbers; his unrivaled meticulous planning seems to be all for nothing and for him is the equivalent to chaos.

If you’re a fan you’ll know how fascinating it was to see Sheldon seemingly broken in his normal day to day life, what was done well is though he seemed to have lost all sense of his normal (or maybe weird) living procedures, he seemed perfectly sane and what he perceived as chaotic for many viewers it seemed hardly hectic at all.
