Ragingly Good?
The company that made Rage are no strangers to staggering graphics, Bethesda the culprits behind award winning titles, such as the Fallout series, the latest remakes of the classic Doom franchise and one of the most, critically acclaimed games of all time, and yes you guessed it best known for its beautiful scenery, Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.
A very well-known gaming website mentioned how the creators, claimed to have the most staggering graphics than any other gaming company, out there at the moment. This is definitely not far from the truth. You’ll find yourself often looking at incredible canyon valleys, old weathered highways that once was and fractured large buildings.
Rage will feel familiar very quickly, certainly if you tried any of the Fallout games, somewhat like them this story is based around a meteor crashing to earth practically wiping out a good majority of the human race. A select few including yourself are kept alive in specially made vaults (sounds familiar already), to live on and keep the human existence going in the aftermath of the collision.
That story is left a little too abruptly after our hero comes out of stasis to be greeted by an attacking chap trying to take you out, known only as a bandit at the time, almost immediately afterwards, you’re assigned to wipe out a hideout.
Having no automatic saves was a first for me, being used to it in other games I can say it was missed.
Rage has its ups and downs, but a lot of you game fanatics out there, who will no doubt venture out to the rental store or of course buy it online (which is the common way you kids do it these days) will find that there are a lot more “ups” than there are downs with this title.
