How would you like to put on your chef’s hat and try your hand at a cooking competition? Not for you, eh? What if it were just a tabletop game? Where you’d take on the role of an alien chef serving up human beings? Yeah, now you seem intrigued.
Over on Kickstarter, you can support the game How to Serve Man by Gateway Games. With only a few days to go, the group has already surpassed their $20,000 goal and is continuing to receive donations for all their other stretch goals. Gateway Games is comprised of four game enthusiasts who hope to deliver a quality tabletop product in October of this year.
The game is an intergalactic competition of cuisine. You must compete against friends to serve up delicious dishes in the Space Kitchen Arena, and you better be patient because your main ingredient keeps running away. Those pesky humans! You must gather your resources, cook and combine away to win it all. Game includes boards, recipe, judge, events and player cards, and food tokens.
The Kickstarter page, found right here, is full of wonderful descriptions of every aspect of the game and exciting illustrations. The people behind the game have clearly thought out the type of product they want to produce and their exuberance pours out with each small detail. The creators have been very active on the site and have been happy to interact with fans and fellow gamers to improve upon their original idea, artwork and user ideas to increase its appeal to the masses. You can check out their introduction video below.
If you’re interested in the intricate details of the game, its pieces or the goals of the project, I highly recommend taking a look at the Kickstarter page and get involved! Funding ends on March 10th.
