IRL: Star Wars Ep. 8 – Find The Force Augmented Reality Round Up

Catch ’em all!

This year for Force Friday Star Wars gave us the Find The Force Augmented Reality Experience where we could view AR characters from Episode 8 Pokemon GO style on our phones against real world backdrops. We did an article about it at the time which you can check out here.

The experience featured scanable in-store displays that would reveal the AR characters when scanned with the Star Wars app.

If you missed it, no worries. We’ve collected an assortment of the scanable images from the event below so you can enjoy the characters without leaving home 🙂

Here’s how to get some Star Wars live AR action on your phone right now.

Step 1. Download the Star Wars app from the Google Play or App Store and install it.

Step 2. Open the app and click Find The Force. This will need to install additional software on your phone/tablet and will take a few minutes.

Step 3. Once it’s installed, you can click Find The Force (if you’re back at the home screen) and begin scanning the images below to see the Star Wars Episode 8 characters.

Step 4. To clear a scan, simply move your phone/tablet away from the screen so it’s focused on something else.
