12+ Things To Know About Horizon Zero Dawn: News, Release Date & Trailers

The highly anticipated Playstation exclusive RPG, Horizon Zero Dawn, developed by Guerrilla Games releases on February 28th this year (March 1st in UK). Select media outlets including IGN, Games Radar and others, have already received review codes to begin playing the game ahead of release. Fortunately for the public, their media embargo ends on February 20 and, no doubt, these outlets are already preparing their coverage for release on that day.

Until then, here’s what we know so far about Horizon Zero Dawn.

1. The game download size will be 45gb as reported by PlayStationLifestyle.net.
2. Gamepur has reported that the core story time is about 20 hours with 45 hours of play required for 100% completion.
3. The game is rated T for Alcohol & Tobaco, Mild Sexual References, Blood, Violence and Mild Language.
4. From Playstation: In a lush, post-apocalyptic world where nature has reclaimed the ruins of a forgotten civilization, pockets of humanity live on in primitive hunter-gatherer tribes. Their dominion over the new wilderness has been usurped by the Machines – fearsome mechanical creatures of unknown origin.
5. Horizon Zero Dawn is an open world RPG with a huge map. IGN released a full report on the “leaked” map here.
6. Horizon Zero Dawn won the  Best Original Game award at the Game Critics Awards in 2015 and 2016, according to Wikipedia.
7. The game is available via disc or console download exclusively for the Playstation 4.
8. You can pre-order Horizon Zero Dawn now with a reported 20% off at this IGN webpage, or on the Playstation website, Amazon, Gamestop and Target (although Target online pre-orders were sold out at press time) for full price. The regular price for the Standard Edition is $59.99 and the Collector’s Edition is $119.99.
9. Pre-orders will receive bonus items including weapon and armor modifications as well as crafting resources.
10. The Playstation Store has an exclusive digital deluxe edition with some additional bonuses.
