To have a “Halo” game on your shelf, is, in some respects an achievement in itself, as the gameplay elements such as the weapons, vehicles, graphics, playability, sound and visual effects, are all a very rewarding experience.

The visual aspects are truly wonderful to look at, leaving you paused in some parts of the game(s). While your looking in awe at everything, it’s easy to get distracted by the, superb design, then you realize you have to move the analog stick on your control pad to get things moving, progress and actually play the game.

If on hind sight you made a grave error by not being more into the Halo games, or having no idea of Halo at all, it will still, leave you saying, “Wow” just by seeing clips and cut scenes on youtube. Not many games have made so many people say that word (wow), quite like Halo has.

With near enough 7 games already out and plenty of merchandise selling off the shelves quicker than you can say “Halo.” The thirst and interest for the games doesn’t appear to be dwindling. One of the most recent releases from the franchise being, a live action web series. “Forward Unto Dawn” set 20 years before the events of Halo 4, here’s what Stewart Hendler and Frank O’ Connor, had to say about it in an interview.

“From a sci-fi perspective I wanted to make sure it felt grounded in reality, emotionally and in the characters.” Sterwart Hendler, (Director Forward Unto Dawn)

“The production designer did such an amazing job in creating new things, and really brought it to life.” Frank O’ Connor (Franchise Development Director)

Interviewer: When creating the esthetic, did you pull from certain areas and say we want to do our own thing, something new for us, is that the way you approached it?

Stewart Hendler: We definitely wanted to do our own thing but those things are a part of the Halo universe, so you have to go in acknowledging them and move forward from there. I’m big fan of the work that’s been done before and had no intent on trumping it or creating something wildly different for the sake of doing it.

Halo 4 Exclusive Interview:

“Were not talking about a new engine, but we have added some new technological elements to it, for sure.” Frank O’ Connor.

As the Halo 4 release date beckons, the fans will have to hold on a little longer, though it has been in the making for some time, the reward from seeing the epic game, I’m sure will be worth the wait.
If you still want more on Halo, specifically Halo 4, an exclusive interview with “Frank O’ Connor – Franchise Development Director (343 Industries) will give you some fantastic information about the new elements included and what you can expect from the massive blockbuster game out this summer. Enjoy!
