Friday Fiction: The Citywide Scream

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, may I have your attention, please?! You’ve been patient! You’ve been diligent! You’ve been loyal! Now, for demonstrating such tremendous qualities, such incredible attributes, such unbelievable resolve, you shall be rewarded! Friends, bloggers, Earthlings, lend me your ears! The time has come, yet again, for you to get your proper dose of excitement, adventure, and intrigue! People of the Net, without further delay, I present to you this week’s FRRRRRRRRRRIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY FICTIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

Sam…

…Sam, play it.

*Cue music.*

Today’s story is weird. It has no answers, only nightmarish and inexplicable things.

Tilly is a waitress at a downtown diner. She works there to pay for her apartment until her lease runs out. And sometimes her days are hard.

Sometimes, she has insomnia.

And in this tale, oh this tale, she will be awake for something horrible.

Here’s Brandon Scott’s newest horror short story, “The Citywide Scream.” You can CLICK HERE to read it.

And, for those who love his more science fantasy ventures, return in a week. We have an equally weird, but much more whimsical, story for you.

tuning off…
