A Dire Instance of LyingA Dire Instance of Lying

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, may I have your attention, please?! You’ve been patient! You’ve been diligent! You’ve been loyal! Now, for demonstrating such tremendous qualities, such incredible attributes, such unbelievable resolve, you shall be rewarded! Friends, bloggers, Earthlings, lend me your ears! The time has come, yet again, for you to get your proper dose of excitement, adventure, and intrigue! People of the Net, without further delay, I present to you this week’s FRRRRRRRRRRIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY FICTIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

Sam…

…Sam, play it.

*Cue music.*

This is a story about the end of the world, and of lying. One is more obvious than the other. Sometimes, a lack of information can be its own sort of lie. A hidden truth, told in half-truths.

And I wonder what you’ll think of this story, called “A Dire Instance of Lying,” the second time you read it.

You’ll have to read it the first time, though—and you CLICK HERE to achieve that.

We hope you enjoy it, however many times you read it—and hope you’ll find plenty else to read here, over the course of so many Fridays.

tuning off…
