If you couldn’t make the latest Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR) Cantina, held during Star Wars Celebration in Orlando this year, you haven’t missed out yet on some of the digital swag they gave away.

For those who don’t know, Star Wars The Old Republic, SWTOR, is an online multiplayer game set in the Old Republic Star Wars Universe, about 3000 years before the movies we now enjoy, before the dark times, before the Empire.

You can play this game’s core story content, hundreds of hours, completely for free and receive an enormous amount of entertainment including 8 complete stories for 8 different characters. That said, I recommend spending at least $5 in the in-game store since the game’s free-to-play restrictions can be quite painful, so I hear – I’ve never experienced them personally.

If you like it, pay $15 for a 30 day subscription, $29 for a 60-day subscription, or just under $42 for 90 days, and unlock all the perks you can handle plus a slew of additional content.

I’ve enjoyed this game for many years and it really just keeps getting better. Sure, there are plenty of things I don’t like, but no game is perfect. But if you love Star Wars and would like to live your own personal stories, Star Wars The Old Republic might just be for you. After all, you can’t beat free right?
