Actual politic themes are mixed with near-future sci-fi in this Mexican take on the genre. Mexicans struggle to survive by working in virtual sweatshops as builders, taxi drivers or by selling their memories. This movie was also on the Copenhagen Pix Festival some weeks ago.
I saw this great scifi at the Copenhagen Pix Festival. I was amazed to see, to me, totally unknown actors. The language is German and the absence of Hollywood in this movie gives it a new kind of realism. Watch the trailer for Ivan Engler’s Swiss scifi epic, Cargo. – Highly recommended!
