5) 2001: Space Odyssey^

Much like Moon this has more of the same in that the computer programme, can and has made a lot of people doze off, by the very monotone voice and its overall hypnotic touch, if you want a sleep, with a film this is a good choice, I’m feeling sleepy just thinking about the film, that’s a first.

 4) Moon

This gives you off beat shots of the actor, the speed of the movie can be related to the speed of deep sleep and a very hypnotic sound from the computer programme, both assigned on the moon, one who has supposedly been forgotten, can get lost when you’re on the moon its quite a distance, should have taken the sat nav: )

3) Solaris (2002)

This much like Donnie Darko is not entirely revealing about whether it’s set in some sort of dream or indeed if everything is as it seems. Some lingering and abstract moments  are the theme here.

2) Donnie Darko

A fantastic set of acting and visuals throughout, is it a dream? Hallucination? Is he actually there? Not only a brilliant film but very sleep inducing, if you’re in a darkened environment.

1) Waking Life

This is a film that is actually about dreams, shuffling through a series of them in fact, if you can watch this film all the way through without those eye lids getting heavy, then that’s very impressive.
