Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation for the PlayStation Vita, Indeed Liberating!
There was no doubt that Assassin’s Creed III took center stage when Ubisoft gave away their presentation at the E3 Expo last month. However, the industry was also proud to announce a companion piece to the franchise that would be enjoyed exclusively by PlayStation Vita players, namely Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. What comes as a surprise is not just the exposure of the game to the audience but also the protagonist, Aveline de Grandpré, who provides a new twist to the series.
As mentioned on the official AC Liberation website, the game overviews are as follows:
“The year is 1765. As the events leading up to the American Revolution heat up in the North, Spanish forces plan to take control of Louisiana in the South – but they have yet to reckon with Aveline, a deadly Assassin who will use every weapon and ability in her arsenal to win freedom for her land and her people.
Designed exclusively for the PlayStation Vita system, you’ll take full advantage of the Playstation Vita system’s dual touchpads, motion detection, and built-in camera to execute slow-motion chain kills, pickpocket unsuspecting victims, and pursue your enemies in a canoe. This is no mere port; it’s an immersive experience designed purely for the PlayStation Vita system.”
If words alone can’t convince you, then be sure to check out a 360° inspection of the series’ first heroine below.
With a variety of unique weapons along with yet another interesting storyline, the game will no doubt be a fine addition to the franchise. We got a sneak peak of what Liberation holds in store for us at E3 but clearly it just wasn’t enough. Ubisoft recently revealed the extended Liberation Accolades trailer that shows off more gameplay footage including combat scenes. It’s going to be an epic adventure that you can bring along with you anywhere on your Vita.
Assassin’s Creed III : Liberation will be released on October 30th, 2012.
