In Argentina they have: The National Writers Competition of Science Fiction

The Faculty of Physics and Natural Sciences of the Universidad Nacional de San Luis in Argentina, invites the community and primary and secondary schools to participate in the National Competition Tales of Science Fiction. The competition objective is to arouse the concern of students in science and in particular in science fiction, stimulate the imagination, strengthen the rapprochement between the university and schools, help develop the habit of reading and writing and generate an area of dissemination of these works.
The competition is aimed at children and young people between 10 and 18 who are studying in primary and secondary schools in the country. The terms and conditions can be downloaded from the website of the Faculty.

The contest is an opportunity that generates high expectations among children and youth and provides the entire community the chance to know, appreciate and value their original creations, which will be reflected in a publication. The Faculty of Physics and Natural Sciences invites you to participate and not miss the opportunity to let your imagination.
