10 Villains Who Have Style to Match Their Deeds

As much as we worship our fictional heroes and heroines, there isn’t any reason for us not to award our favorite villains with equal treatment. Bad guys don’t always finish last so despite having goals that may consume the world in utter chaos, lets take a closer look at those in film, anime or comics who can sport their threads to live up to their reputations.

 

The Joker (Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight)

If he wasn’t in this list, then you have every right to stop reading right now. I cannot help but reiterate what millions have already said about this villain, particularly Heath Ledger’s superb characterization when filling the shoes of DC Comics’ ultimate villain in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. Absolutely sarcastic, sly and evil to boot, this villain has certainly charmed the world with his flair whether it be his nurse outfit or life-threatening missions.

 

Aizen S?suke (Tite Kubo’s Bleach)

As one of the most notable villains throughout the entire Bleach series, Aizen S?suke embodies the three C’s: cool, calm and confident. Practically immortal and omnipotent, creator Tite Kubo certainly wowed fans worldwide the moment he introduced this particular villain into the storyline.

 

Loki (Tom Hiddleston in Thor)

Shortly after the release of Thor (2011) followed by The Avengers (2012), who honestly hasn’t been Loki-fied? English actor Tom Hiddleston does justice in bringing one of Marvel’s greatest comic book villains to life with his adept speech and charisma behind that long cape and menacing horned helmet.

 

Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes in the Harry Potter series)

Portrayed beautifully by renowned actor Ralph Fiennes, there is just a certain dark element about Lord Voldemort that makes him J.K. Rowling’s prized villain. No doubt he may always dress the same in the film adaptations, but his character comes to life through his sadistic nature and leadership ability that just stuns the crowd.

 

Alexander Anderson (Kouta Hirano’s Hellsing)

An incredibly masterful priest who is viewed as the main antagonist in the series, I can’t help but place him in the villain seat from my perspective. Anderson acts as Alucard’s key nemesis and with his own set of deadly holy weapons including blessed bayonets to exterminate every undead, this is one heck of a warrior priest you do not want to go up against. Grigori Rasputin (Mike Mignola’s Hellboy series)

There aren’t many of us who lack knowledge about Russia’s history that is affiliated with the dark mystic of the same name. Almost immortal and adept at black magic, this enigmatic villain has a thousand unexpected tricks up his sleeves that will just creep you out. Sure death may have consumed him eventually, but there is no doubt that his soul continues to live on forever.

 

Catwoman (DC Comics’ Batman franchise)

Wondering what became of women in this list? Well here’s a treat for you. As we have admired this seductive and intelligent villain throughout the comic series and film adaptations, it goes without saying that this law-breaking feline will automatically make it onto the list. Recently hinted through the portrayal of Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, she ultimately embodies all that is swift, sexy and stealthy.

 

Magneto (Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender in the X-Men series)

Lets hope you haven’t been drugged and infused with the slightest tinge of metal in your blood. Magneto is one of kind in our fantastical world of villains and he makes it onto this list as a mutant who carries out his merciless duties with unending aptitude.

 

Pyramid Head (Konami’s Silent Hill series)

One of the most terrifying creations in the horror genre for video games, I still remember being scared out of my skin when I first came across this monster. There is just a level of fear that is generated from his unique and grotesque physical characteristics that makes Pyramid Head a standout villain.

 

Sephiroth (Square’s Final Fantasy VII)

If video games are involved, you knew you saw this one coming. Sephiroth is unquestionably one of the most iconic villains in the Final Fantasy franchise and hey lets be real here, he does have the style to match his moves. It comes as no shocker that he still stands as one of the vital reasons why the game attracted a significant fanbase.
