Ever wanted to go to Chicago?
No?
Because, starting on August 24th, going all the way to the 27th, the Wizard World Con will be running at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, and it is shaping up to be an incredible experience. One worthy of going all the way to Chicago.
Because, just taking it alone, the guest list is amazing. Around forty awesome celebrities from all the nerdy places you love. It will have one of my favorites, David Tennant, along with some of the other awesome actors/actresses from Doctor Who, like John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness), Alex Kingston (River Song), Catherine Tate (Donna Noble), and Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald).
The list is subject to some availability issues so some might not make it, but, if you are the sort to get your con on, then there will be someone there worthy of a little fan squeal. Actors and actresses from franchises like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Stranger Things, and The Walking Dead will be there as well. And that’s only from the spooky ones.
Also, for your enjoyment, the con will have talented creators and cool props and all the stuff you would expect from a con of this size. Places and moments like these really are worth visiting and the investment required to do so. And, if you feel up to it, it is also a place to cosplay with wild abandon. Famous cosplayers will be there, and it’s the perfect place to show off whatever awesome custom creations you can make.
In our current world, cosplaying everywhere, all the time, is frowned upon, but there, in that con, in Chicago: it is your time.
So, make the trip, and go forth toward a place. A world. A World of Wizards.
