The Search for Christina Milian: Kia Rio Zip and Dash to Los Angeles Geocache Challenge

This post brought to you by Kia Rio. All opinions are 100% mine.

Imagine driving through the streets of Los Angeles with your best friend in a car that epitomizes the new face of today’s technology. Now imagine driving in this modern masterpiece to meet the celebrity of the tunes you pump your fist to face-to-face. Kia Motors presented the best of both worlds with their recent scavenger hunt that sent two lucky pairs of best friends in the 2012 Kia Rio 5-door to ‘scavenge’ through iconic Los Angeles landmarks in search of R&B and Pop songstress Christina Milian. The fun began in early April where participants had to embrace their childhood at The Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round and utilize cubes to answer Los Angeles trivia questions, locate a hidden Christina Milian CD among a sea of 100,000 CDs at Amoeba Records, count the exact number of palm trees through the luxurious streets of Rodeo Drive, chow down mouth-watering hot dogs at Pink’s Hot Dogs and finally race to the Roosevelt Hotel to meet the prize at the finish line. I don’t know about you but searching for one special CD in a music store that is known for their hundreds of thousands of collections is much tougher than sitting through the SATs.

So what made it so easy for the contestants to dash from one destination to the other? The answer is simple, the Kia Rio. With truly cutting-edge technology such as an advanced voice control, an integrated rearview camera and an easily accessible USB port, it is no surprise that these fantastic features intertwined with the Rio’s smooth driving experience to provide the contestants with all the answers they needed. The HD Radio is definitely a big plus for me because I can already imagine blocking out all that incessant honking with crystal clear music when I’m stuck in traffic. Driving around in the Rio would be a fantastic challenge that I would not pass up. If I had such an opportunity, meeting Christian Bale would be nice as long as he keeps his nail gun away (American Psycho anyone?). At the end of the day, the grand prize at the end of the road isn’t the only motivation. A journey alongside my partner in crime up and down the slopes of San Francisco would be one heck of a dream. Who would YOU want to meet? And where? Modern meets style with the endless list of spotless technology in one single car. What are you waiting for? Personalize your very own Kia Rio right now at the Rio Explorer Page, and don’t forget to schedule that test drive as well.

A constant tumblr junkie ever since I created an account a couple of weeks ago. I'm an avid movie-goer, read a variety of books when I have the time and watch a range of television programs. Being the child of a father who owns more than 900 star wars/star trek and other sci-fi novels combined, as well as growing up alongside a brother who taught me to play video games since i was 8, its definitely hard NOT to love these genres.
