Foundations: The 5 Best Artifact Cards

0

By Brandon Scott on Dec 11th, 2024

In most sets, most of the artifacts aren’t usually that impressive—but Foundations is different. There are quite a few good ones. Five, in fact, that I think are so good they’ll especially stand the test of time.

Foundations: The 5 Best Multicolored Cards

0

By Brandon Scott on Dec 9th, 2024

Foundations actually has a lot of multicolored cards—including some legendary creature reprints that I think have interesting implications for standard. But in regard to the top five cards I think will see a lot of play through Foundations’ lifetime, most of the ones I picked are low-cost, helpful cards with a strong impact on the board.

Foundations: The 5 Best Green Cards

0

By Brandon Scott on Dec 2nd, 2024

The Green Foundations Cards Have Clear Themes There’s a version of this Foundations list that is just green elf cards. The synergy and power level are fairly high there. But sometimes you don’t want to play a deck based around one creature type—and, as I outlined in the very first article of this “series,” this…

Foundations: The 5 Best Red Cards

By Brandon Scott on Nov 27th, 2024

I think my bias for “Red Deck Wins” is obvious with my Foundations picks for red—but I also don’t think I’m the only one. Foundations: The 5 Best Black Cards

By Brandon Scott on Nov 25th, 2024

The black cards are really powerful in Foundations. The reprints, especially. I did not expect that we would have these options just sitting around in standard now. All but the fourth cards on this list are fully capable of changing the course of a game. They will (sometimes indirectly) win the whole thing. Plus, you can put all of these into the same style of deck.

Foundations: The 5 Best Blue Cards

0

By Brandon Scott on Nov 18th, 2024

Generic blue cards see a lot of use, and clearly, Foundations planned for that. Because my top five basically consists of generally useful spells for a large variety of decks. These don’t feel as flashy as the white cards—nor are there any haymakers. They’re just good cards.

Foundations: The 5 Best White Cards

By Brandon Scott on Nov 13th, 2024

Foundations is going to be around for a long time—and I’m honestly super happy with this idea. The constant shifting of Standard is one of the reasons I fell off it. I like getting to play a pet deck long enough to get good at it. It’s rewarding.
