Review Round-Up: The MUMMY

Here’s the review round-up on The Mummy, another film from our 2017’s Most Anticipated Movies list.

Our favorite YouTube reviewers are giving the Mummy overall positive, but not super enthusiastic reviews. Consensus seems to be that this movie does a very good job at making us want to see more of Universal’s Dark Universe, but generally, the best part about the movie is… not the script … not the plot … but, … you guessed it … Tom Cruise.

It seems like the performances were really good, (#RussellCrowe), and the action was, of course, awesome, (#TomsStillGotIt), but the script wasn’t all it could have, and should have, been. So if you love classic monsters, and you love block-buster action and great CGI, you’ll probably love The MUMMY. If not, don’t despair. If the set-up in this one pulls through, the next one promises to be awesome.
