FRIDAY FICTION: THE TRIPLE THREAT RETURNS!

Tuning in…

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, may I have your attention, please? You’ve been patient. You’ve been diligent. You’ve been loyal. Now, for demonstrating such tremendous qualities, such incredible attributes, such unbelievable resolve, you shall be rewarded! Friends, bloggers, Earthlings, lend me your ears! The time has come, yet again, for you to get your proper dose of excitement, adventure, and intrigue! People of the Net, without further delay, I present to you this week’s FRRRRRRRRRRIDAY FICTIOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNN!

Sam…

…Sam, play it.

*Cue music.*

Folks, it’s been a while since our last triple threat and I think it’s high time we gave you one! So, let’s dive right in! Here are three stories by Dylan Alexander you’re sure to enjoy!

The first is tale full of mystery, hope, despair and truth. It is as esoteric as it is edifying, an avant-garde journey into a dark, unforgiving world where freedom may or may not come with a price. My friends, I will hold you back no longer. Readers across the globe, I give you…

…”Falling Through”. CLICK HERE to read.

And now, let us gather around a fire surrounding by darkness. For those of you who’ve read a certain other series, you may be familiar with a few elements of this one. It is, however, able to be read independent of that. It involves a story within a story, a teller within a tale, and an eerily honest series of events. Boys and girls, I give you…

…”Chasm”. CLICK HERE to read.

And lastly…

…I’m going to step out of character for this. Normally I would never, but this is important. I’ve recently noticed a lot of stuff happening in Baltimore on the news. Now, I’m a young guy, and I have multiple viewpoints on the wholes situation, so please don’t look at this next work and assume that’s all I think about it. It was just something I thought of as I was listening to Fox’s reporting. For the record, I’m not one of the many who think Fox is the worst broadcasting organization out there. They’re clearly not. There is far more biased journalism that can be found in other places.

Anyway, here’s a poem I wrote. It’s called “The Drums”. CLICK HERE to read.

Okay, back into…

…THIS! That’s everything, folks! Be sure to take a look at our many other Friday Fiction pieces and, as always, keep calm and monger on.

Sam…

…we’re done.

…tuning out.

Stories are important. Stories feed the mind and inspire the heart. They lift the spirit and challenge the imagination. They have the ability to predict what the future will be, and have the power to reveal the past in a light unseen before. Stories take people to worlds they thought never existed, worlds they thought couldn't exist. But they can, and they do. Stories make them a reality. Stories make them into truth. Don’t underestimate them (don’t tell me you haven’t before, we all have, even me). They are, collectively, the gateway to utopias, dystopias, kingdoms, planets and universes unlike anything on Earth—or, in some cases, all too much like Earth. Stories can wake people up from their brainwashed states and get them active in the world, doing things they wouldn't have had they not heard or read or seen them. Stories can save lives. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE STORIES, AND DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE YOUR ABILITY TO CREATE THEM.
