Now, for demonstrating such tremendous qualities, such incredible attributes, such unbelievable resolve, you shall be rewarded! Friends, bloggers, Earthlings, lend me your ears! The time has come, yet again, for you to get your proper dose of excitement, adventure, and intrigue! People of the Net, without further delay, I present to you this week’s FRRRRRRRRRRIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY FICTIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

Sam…

…Sam, play it.

*Cue music.*

Many stories start with someone finding a magical door.

A portal to another world.

It’s a fun and classic way to start off a journey. I, for one, have enjoyed many books that use it as a premise, in one way or another.

But in today’s Friday Fiction, Howard is not such a fan.

For Howard, you see, is a man of simple pleasures, who mostly just wants to be left alone. And for the most part, he gets his wish. He can have the quiet he desires.

There’s just the matter of those doors…

CLICK HERE to read “Doorways to Wonder” and see if Howard can’t find a way to live the life he wants.

And if your main desire is more stories, then we have you covered. There’s so many on the site already—and there’s another one, a spooky one, coming in only a week.

tuning out…
