Barely a week old, it is hard to believe that yet another epic Comic-Con International convention has now passed us. For those of us who have deemed ourselves true fans of sci-fi, superheroes, fantasy, video games and even comic books, this annual convention was like Christmas in July. Whether it was the celebrity panels, fantastic costume display or simply basking in the glory of being at the convention, let’s take a closer look at the gaming side of things that really drew fans to the event. As one of the most anticipated games of the year, developers from 343 Industries only continue to feed out lust for Halo 4 by unveiling further aspects and goodies of the game.
As far as multiplayer modes go, new extended footage have been released so without boring you any further with words, take a look at Machinima’s walkthrough that will offer you over 13 minutes of pure player versus player excitement.
Developers have also revealed a full 3-Minute trailer for Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, the live-action series that will be distributed worldwide by Machinima via their channel Machinima Prime as well as Halo Waypoint on October 5th this very year. Daniel Cudmore – better known as the mutant Colossus from X2 (2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)– will be filling the rather large and important shoes of Master Chief, so only time will tell if this live action production will live up to the brilliance of the original game series. In the mean time, take a look at the extended trailer below to prepare yourself for what is to come.
Microsoft has also confirmed the launch of a Halo 4 Limited Edition Xbox 360 console that will carry a 320GB hard drive along with a separate set of customized controllers that will really show off your Halo swag. Nevertheless, I can’t help but wonder who doesn’t already owe an Xbox in their home, especially if they have titled themselves as longtime Halo fans. The console will be priced at $399 while each controller will be sold at $59.99 each. These are rather large figures so despite the cool designs 343 Industries have to offer, be sure to think twice before purchasing this edition.
