People who read my Magic articles might notice a trend where I claim a new set’s not going to make much of an impact until a rotation happens or until a certain strategy dies.
It seems like Innistrad came so fast, right? Just when I was getting used to some of the more interesting and playable DND cards, we have another set drop. But, regardless of the pace, this set is proving to be awesome.
With the DND set giving us new pieces, I figured it was time to revisit my favorite tribe in Magic: the humble goblin. A while back, the goblin deck proved itself a demon of Historic. It’s fallen from memory slightly, and even the people who expect it aren’t prepared to face a different version.
And that’s my take on Adventures in The Forgotten Realms. I think it’s cool how much work went into making sure the feel of D&D went into the cards.
